Get your community group on the radio!
10am to 12.30pm - make your own radio promotions
1.15 to 3.15pm - make your own radio show (optional extra)
Join Derby Sound for a fun free session to learn how to record your own What's On bulletins for your events or fundraisers and interviews about your community projects to broadcast on-air.
You don't need any past radio experience, the tech is very simple and user-friendly and Vanessa Boon from Derby Sound will create a supportive, confidence-boosting session even if you feel a bit shy or cringe even thinking about the idea of your voice on radio!
If you have a smartphone or laptop you can bring along we can show you how to use it to get great recordings.
Derby Sound is a volunteer-run Community Radio broadcasting online 24/7 aiming to amplify local causes, events and artists. They will show you how you can simply record your own promos and awareness-raising interviews for the station, and stay for the afternoon session to learn how you could even host your own regular feature or radio show!
Find out how you can use the station's studio or make content from your office or home using the station's internet-based broadcast system.
