DRS volunteers go back to school!

This morning Nader and I were invited to speak on zoom to the children at Chaucer Infant School in Ilkeston. This half term, the children have been learning about refugees and they had put together some questions for Nader. Nader was absolutely brilliant, answering their questions and sharing some of his own experiences in a way that they could understand.

Thank you to Kate Beattie, the head teacher at Chaucer Infants, for inviting us to speak with your children. As part of their ongoing project, the children are putting together friendship boxes to be distributed to children in our area who are refugees or asylum seeker
