Imagine waiting months, even years, before your asylum application is approved. You finally hear that your application has been successful and you have five years to live and work in the UK.

Well, stop celebrating. Because now you are almost certainly homeless!

A range of reasons, primarily government policy and lack of affordable housing, mean that many new refugees in Derby arrive at DRS asking for a sleeping bag and a suitcase to put all their stuff in.
