A CALL OUT TO DERBYSHIRE ARTISTS

A fundraising event is being planned which is intended to both raise funds for Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity and showcase the work of Derbyshire artists, and we would very much appreciate your involvement!

Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity (DRS) and Derby Community Arts Network (Derby CAN) are working together to host a silent auction in June 2022. Donations from artists will be exhibited at a city location and on line and prospective buyers will make their bids electronically, the highest bidder claiming the work.

Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity is a small grassroots charity based in Derby which offers a range of services and activities for refugees and asylum seekers in Derby, and which also supports refugees stranded in other countries. All of our community are volunteers and so all money we raise goes directly to supporting the charity’s work.

How you can help

We are asking that each interested artist provides us with a piece of work that can be put up for auction. The lots will be displayed for two weeks in June, one of which will be during Refugee Week, as part of a wider programme of events in Derby venues.
