Bikes needed!

Firstly huge thanks to everyone supporting Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity.

Offering a bike to an asylum seeker is a lifeline and one of our biggest challenges. They can shop , see a doctor , go to school , get out with friends or just escape the confines of hostel and hotel rooms. With your help we've refurbished and given out around 300 over the last two years.

If you have a bike languishing in a garage please think about donating to DRS. We can do basic servicing and pass on to someone who will use it every day. We've even trained asylum seeker volunteers to City and Guilds level mechanics.

We also need money to buy safety gear. Everyone gets a lock, lights, bell and helmet costing £28. And we buy refurbished bikes from the brilliant Bikeback charity in Derby but that costs £150 including safety equipment.

If you want to make a one off donation to our bike fund or better still a monthly direct debit , our Coop bank details are on our website , or message me if you want to chat about anything to do with our bike scheme.

YOU CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE - THANK YOU
