Long live humanity
On Easter Bank Holiday Monday, while lots of British people might have been eating chocolate, watching movies and generally lazing around, asylum seekers across Derbyshire were getting their hands dirty!
Asylum seekers living in hotels, unable to work and wanting to be busy, really enjoy opportunities to help their communities and their neighbours, making many new friends along the way.
As well as those shown in the photos, a young Afghan man fixed two cars last week, an Iranian man was dog walking and many, many others were volunteering in charity shops, churches, community groups and everywhere else where there are kind, welcoming people.
Please let us know if you would like help with your garden, your car or your dog!
