"Breaston's Strongest Man" and other victories......

At Breaston Gala today, asylum seekers from the two hotels in Long Eaton were maybe a little hesitant and wary at first.

Within the next two hours they had:

• almost sold out of delicious food they had cooked

• sold lots of plants, many grown on their windowsills

• raised money for the Canaan Trust, a local homeless charity

• won a tug of war against a local pub

• played hook a duck

• won "Breaston's Strongest Man."

• made many many many new friends!
